You can permanently delete your Cobija account and the health information in it, from inside the app, without contacting us. It takes about a minute.
Your data is erased right away and you are signed out.
Three things deliberately survive deletion. None of them can be used to rebuild your health information.
A record that an account existed and what sensitive actions were taken on it — including the deletion itself. This is how we can demonstrate that a deletion was requested and carried out, and how we investigate misuse of the service. It holds account identifiers and timestamps, not your medications, readings, or journal.
Whether a paid plan existed and its status, plus daily counts of AI usage, kept for billing and to prevent abuse. Payment card details are handled by the app store and never reach us, so there is nothing of that kind for us to keep or delete.
What you agreed to, when, and in which language — kept as proof that we had your permission to hold your information in the first place. Deleting that proof alongside the account would leave us unable to show consent was ever given. It holds an account identifier, what was agreed, a date and a language, not your medications, readings, or journal.
Deleting your account removes your access to every senior you were helping, and removes the notes and messages you wrote. It does not delete their account or their records — those belong to them, and their journal keeps the entries they made themselves.
If you have lost access to your account and cannot delete it yourself, email privacy@cobija.app from the address you signed up with, and ask for your account to be deleted.
We will verify that the request comes from the account owner before deleting anything, and complete it within 30 days. We may ask a question to confirm your identity — this protects you from someone else deleting your records.
